The Minnesota Timberwolves have been the best team in the Western Conference for the first half of the NBA season. Currently Denver and Oklahoma City are right at the Timberwolves heels only one game back of first place. This comes on the week where the Timberwolves dropped two games one in Dallas and one in Boston in OT. However the Timberwolves did survive to get wins against Houston, Orlando, Portland, and most recently the LA Clippers. Three Timberwolves are currently looking to become All Stars next month in Indiana. My personal prediction with how stacked the West is with talent that likely only Antony Edwards and Karl-Antony Towns make it. Many people believe Rudy has earned being in but I just feel the voters and league would rather have other players in the game. As we are about a month before the break the Timberwolves have a big standings game this Saturday night with the Thunder. This could give the Thunder first place depending how the Timberwolves trip to Detroit Wednesday and then home game Thursday against Memphis go. The Timberwolves also host the Hornets next Monday a game I am happy to say I am attending. Be on the lookout for the Wolves to make moves before the deadline on some of our rotational bench pieces.
