This morning Mr. Kay Adams also known as Shams reported that KAT has a torn meniscus in his left knee and would be out indefinitely. The number one basketball insider Woj had a different spin stating “Towns is undergoing further evaluation to determine whether an immediate procedure is required, or whether there are rehab options that could return him to Minnesota’s lineup in the more immediate future, sources said.” He also continued to state that a decision will be made soon.

My first thought is that this sucks. No other way to put it as a KAT guy I feel terrible that out of everyone he is the one who got the injury bug during our best season. The Wolves have an amazing front court full of depth with Rudy, Naz, and even Luka Garza who has been dominating the G League the last two seasons. However there is a reason KAT makes money and it is because he is 1 of 1 as a NBA player there won’t be one way to replace him.

My next thought after Woj waited and tweeted that the injury could be less serious is how much I hate Mr. Adams/Shams. I don’t understand how two reporters can have two totally different opinions and how the juicer “story” was created by Shams who just happened to be first. This is like the third or fourth time since last year playoffs I have seen him do this crap and I am tired of it. Now I am not saying that he is wrong about his injury. I am am not a doctor I am a blogger. However the way he has worded his tweet makes it sound like KAT is for sure gonna be out for at least a month if not the rest of the season. I am tired of this quest he is on to get clicks like dude you have a job that 99.99% of America would love to have so let’s use a little integrity especially if your a big J journalist like I hear you say on Bally Sports.

All that being said maybe I am just more angry that this is happening again to Minnesota. We can’t have anything nice it seems and while I only support two of my hometown teams (Wolves, Twins) I feel for the fanbase who hasn’t seen a parade since nine years before I was born in 1991. Luckily we still have a great team who has a quarter of the season to try to adjust to what may be a new reality. Tonight and tomorrow’s games vs Indiana and Cleveland are going to be must watch.
