After winning all of their three home games this week against Cleveland, Golden State, and Detroit the Wolves have officially won 50 games. This is a monumental achievement for a team that hasn’t won 50 games since 2003-2004. Now the Timberwolves find themselves in a huge battle for the top two seeds in the West. Currently the Wolves are a half game back of Friday’s matchup in Denver so they could jump to the one seed with a W. Since the Wolves recently almost won against Denver without their top three centers I expect a great battle now with Naz and Gobert back. For the rest of the season Wolves fans should be worried about Denver and Oklahoma City’s results just as much as the results of Wolves games. There are favorable matchups in the first round for the Wolves like Sacramento but it is important to secure a top two seed so they have home court advantage for the first two playoff series. The Timberwolves battle the Bulls at home on Sunday and I will recap the standings after that game Monday.
